David Cantrick-Brooks has more than 25 years of experience as a Company Secretary across a range of large and medium-size industries and organisations, including performing senior and executive roles in listed and unlisted and ‘for profit’ and ‘not for profit’ organisations, including in:

• Engineering, manufacturing and distribution;
• Financial services (banking, general insurance and superannuation);
• Commercial property and energy infrastructure funds management;
• Private equity;
• Hedge funds;
• Capital markets;
• Share registry;
• Information technology; and
• Higher education.

David has worked closely with boards and senior management in establishing, maintaining and improving systems and processes that support their specific roles and responsibilities. David’s practical approach to corporate governance and problem-solving, combined with his desire to drive innovation in company secretarial practice, has been a key feature throughout his career.

David understands the importance of, and need for, effective and efficient governance and risk management systems and processes in achieving stated corporate goals, satisfying regulatory requirements and meeting the needs and expectations of relevant stakeholders.

David holds undergraduate and postgraduate qualifications in accountancy, and is a Fellow of the Governance Institute of Australia and the Chartered Governance Institute in the UK. David is also a member of the Institute of Community Directors Australia.
